TEACHERS'
DUTIES
The teacher/director of each program at Bundoora Pre-School has
undertaken full-time tertiary training for at least three years and is
a qualified Early Childhood Teacher. The teacher, with help from the
assistant, is responsible for the planning of an educational program
that caters for both individuals and the group as a whole.
The teacher is the person who should be approached in regard to ANY matters pertaining to the pre-school program, your child's development etc (all of which is kept confidential).
The teacher is also directly responsible to the Committee of Management to which they submit a monthly program report.
ASSISTANTS'
DUTIES
The assistants at Bundoora Pre-School have undertaken tertiary studies
pertinent to Early Childhood Education and participate in regular
inservice training. The assistants help to set out materials, equipment
and work along side the teacher in the supervision of activities. The
assistant also works with the teacher recording observations and
developing and carrying out programs for the children.
The assistants play a vital role in liaising with parents at drop off and pick up times and they help to ensure that open communication between parents/guardians and staff is maintained at all times.
