Teachers

The teacher/director of each program at Bundoora Pre-School has undertaken full-time tertiary training for at least three years and is a qualified Early Childhood Teacher. The teacher, with help from the assistant, is responsible for the planning of an educational program that caters for both individuals and the group as a whole.

The teacher is the person who should be approached in regard to ANY matters pertaining to the pre-school program or your child's development (all of which is kept confidential).

The teacher is also directly responsible to the Committee of Management to which they submit a monthly program report.

Assistant Teachers

The assistant teachers at Bundoora Pre-School have undertaken tertiary studies pertinent to Early Childhood Education and participate in regular inservice training. The assistant teachers help to set out materials, equipment and work along side the teacher in the supervision of activities. The assistant teacher also works with the teacher recording observations and developing and carrying out programs for the children.

The assistant teachers play a vital role in liaising with parents at drop off and pick up times and they help to ensure that open communication between parents/carers and staff is maintained at all times.
